Cameras that is. Or at least that’s what I tell myself. However I could be a wee obsessed.
I am participating in a photography and writing project for the next eight weeks and one of the first questions we were asked was “what kind of cameras do you use”? I remembered my recently “deceased” Canon G9 right away and mourned its loss once again. But soon after that I remembered my Holga, and then my vintage Polaroids, oh and that little funky lomographic. I couldn’t list them from memory so pulled all of my cameras – large and small, in working order and not, those that take film and those that don’t – from the closet. I’d forgotten about a few of them, including a little thrift store find from the Berkshires and my very first SLR, a Pentax K1000. What a motley bunch!
Of course I’m also head over heels for the newest member of our family – my first digital SLR and Nikon – the Nikon D5000. It’s a beauty. It’s so powerful it’s going to take me more than eight weeks to figure it all out. But wait ’til you see what this little baby can do. 2010 is going to be a great year!
We just got our first digital SLR a few weeks ago. It’s the Canon Rebel XSI. What a difference! I look forward to your 2010 photos.
One more thing. I subscribe to the RSS feed for the Digital Photography website. It’s offers some great tips and guidance. FYI.
