December reflections 2018: day twelve. Best meal of 2018. It won’t win any culinary awards but the best meals I’ve had this year have been those without grains, pasteurised cow dairy, and nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and eggplant). It’s taken years to figure out exactly what was causing my health issues but removing those foods has made a big difference and I’m grateful. #decemberreflections2018

December reflections 2018: day eleven. Blue. In February I visited the 9|11 memorial for the first time. It took me a long time to feel ready, but I’m grateful I went. I was most struck by the installation of different shades of blue made from people’s memories of the sky color that day since that’s one of the things I remember most about that day as well. “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.” - Virgil #decemberreflections2018
